INGREDIENTS
- 175 g butter, soft
- 170 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 15 LEMON TEABALLS
- 325 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 5 tbsp milk
- 6 tablespoons powdered sugar
TOPPING:
- Mix powdered sugar with fresh lemon juice to make a glaze. Spread it on the muffins and decorate as desired—for example, with lemon zest or edible sprinkles.
PREPARATION:
- Place one paper baking cup into each of the holes in a muffin tray. You can also use silicone or paper baking cups.
Preheat oven to 200°C (fan oven: 175°C).

- Beat the butter, sugar, and salt with the whisk attachment of a hand mixer until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Mix the baking powder with the flour and sift it into the batter. Gradually stir in the milk.
- Grind the lemon teaballs and add them to the dough.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, which you can lightly grease or line with paper baking cups. The cups should be about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 – 30 minutes.
- Remove the muffins and let them cool for about 1 hour.
